The parameters of the sew along are to make something of a vintage nature, with 100% cotton (no blends). I work with cotton often, especially in the summer time. In fact...the picture above shows me in a homespun 100% cotton sailor-blouse top. Although my proud display of fabric for my project appears to be blocking it. Maybe I'll make a post at some point with pictures of my favourite home-sewn outfits. I have many!
Was pretty excited to try this on the homespun plaid fabric in
the background, might be my next project!
Changed my mind on this, decided on a burnt orange version of the right,
with a teal and brown plaid jacket. Next in line after the jumper!
I've had this stashed away for a while. Planned on the right view, with a dark
teal satin contrast. Maybe closer to Christmas?
And the winner! Version on the right. That fabric in particular is lovely.
The pieces are pretty simple, with a gored skirt that will drape nicely.
See if you can find the shiba hair. Dog hair really does get on everything....
I will be starting this project soon, feel free to check back for updates on my progress!
